{"id":3173,"date":"2020-02-16T14:43:00","date_gmt":"2020-02-16T10:43:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/104.152.168.11\/~globalwomens\/?p=3173"},"modified":"2020-03-11T10:17:36","modified_gmt":"2020-03-11T06:17:36","slug":"mohammed-bin-rashid-receives-imf-managing-director-at-gwfd-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globalwomensforumdubai.com\/2020\/media-centre\/mohammed-bin-rashid-receives-imf-managing-director-at-gwfd-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Mohammed bin Rashid receives IMF Managing Director at GWFD 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Government of Dubai Media Office \u201316 February 2020:<\/strong> Vice President\nand Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed\nbin Rashid Al Maktoum today received, in the presence of Dubai Crown Prince His\nHighness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Managing Director\nand Chairwoman of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva,\non the sidelines of the Global Women\u2019s Forum Dubai (GWFD) 2020, being held from\n16-17 February in Dubai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nmeeting discussed the UAE\u2019s development model, which is based on building\npartnerships with regional and global companies backed by a supportive\nlegislative environment that takes into account the interests of the country\u2019s\npartners and provides them with a stable and secure environment, as well as a reliable\ninfrastructure built according to the highest international standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nIMF Chairwoman expressed her appreciation for the UAE\u2019s economic resilience,\nwhich was reflected in the progress and growth of domestic credit, increase of\ntourist numbers and high foreign trade flows at a time when the global market\nis facing serious challenges. She said that hosting Expo 2020 Dubai will give\nthe UAE economy a new impetus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Georgieva also said that Expo2020 will create a strong\nmomentum that supports the UAE\u2019s economic growth over the next year. Strong\ngovernment economic incentives will encourage investments as well as private\nsector growth.
