{"id":3184,"date":"2020-02-10T14:48:00","date_gmt":"2020-02-10T10:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/104.152.168.11\/~globalwomens\/?p=3184"},"modified":"2020-02-24T14:51:23","modified_gmt":"2020-02-24T10:51:23","slug":"entrepreneur-breakfast-discusses-7-drivers-of-growth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globalwomensforumdubai.com\/2020\/media-centre\/entrepreneur-breakfast-discusses-7-drivers-of-growth\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Entrepreneur Breakfast\u2019 discusses \u20187 Drivers of Growth\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Session\nprovides We-Fi women entrepreneurs opportunities to network and hear from\nexperienced leaders<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dubai, UAE; 17 February 2020<\/strong>: The second day of Women Entrepreneurs\nFinance Initiative (We-Fi), organised on the sidelines of the Global Women\u2019s\nForum Dubai (GWFD) 2020, featured an \u2018Entrepreneur Breakfast\u2019 that discussed\nways to provide We-Fi women entrepreneurs with the opportunity to successfully grow\ntheir business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moderated\nby <strong>Dani\u00e8le Henkel,<\/strong> President, Dani\u00e8le Henkel Inc. and We-Fi Leadership\nChampion, Canada, the \u2018Entrepreneur Breakfast\u2019 featured a keynote address by <strong>Peter\nBos<\/strong>, EY Global 7 Drivers of Growth Leader and Co-Founder of EY\u2019s renowned \u20187\nDrivers of Growth\u2019 framework. He spoke at length about the concepts behind the\n\u20187 Drivers of Growth\u2019 framework, and how women entrepreneurs should identify\nopportunities, and assess and mitigate risks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bos\nsaid that the \u2018<strong>7 Drivers of Growth\u2019<\/strong> include people, technology,\noperations, customers, finance, transactions and risk. He explained that these \u2018drivers\u2019\ncan be used to develop strategic growth plans, challenge existing plans, drive\naccelerated and sustainable growth, reach full alignment and inspire by leading\nbest practices. Balance across the \u20187 Drivers\u2019 will help avoid growing pains,\nand thereby accelerate sustainable growth, he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore,\nBos briefed the audience on what global entrepreneurs currently focus on, and\nhow they are fine-tuning the \u20187 Drivers\u2019 to succeed in their business. He\nadvised attendees to think differently about their businesses and build action\nplans to successfully execute their growth strategies. <br>\n<br>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u2018Entrepreneur Breakfast\u2019 also included a Q&amp;A session, which covered a range of topics including the importance of having a diverse network; what challenges women may face, relative to men, in raising capital, and the best way to overcome these challenges. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Organised over two days, The We-Fi MENA Regional Summit brought together over 200 delegates, including high-level government representatives from MENA and We-Fi donor countries, leaders  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>from the\nmultilateral development banks, their private and public-sector partners and 20\nwomen entrepreneurs from emerging economies from around the region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Summit\nwas aimed at spurring action to accelerate women entrepreneurship throughout\nthe MENA region; showcasing programmes, institutions and research that help\nenhance policies and expand women entrepreneurs\u2019 access to finance, markets,\ntraining and mentoring; and engaging women entrepreneurs to generate inspiring\nnew ideas. The event featured sessions offering in-depth discussions, as well\nas learning and networking opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second\nedition of the Global Women\u2019s Forum Dubai 2020, organised by the Dubai Women\nEstablishment under the theme <strong>\u2018The Power of Influence\u2019<\/strong>, highlighted\ndynamic women across governments and the business world, as well as their\nsignificant impact and valuable contributions across the global economy and\nsociety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nGWFD focused on the importance of adopting policies and building partnerships\nthat heighten women\u2019s role and influence in four main focus areas: <strong>government,\neconomy, society and future<\/strong>.
