Dalal Al-Sindi was the first in the Kingdom of Bahrain to pioneer the practice of art therapy professionally through visual expressions and a creative process.<\/p>\n
From 2009 onwards, she raised awareness of the practice of Art Therapy in her home base, Bahrain, and in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE, through lectures and workshops. This eventually led to the opening of the first Art Therapy practice in Bahrain in 2012 – The Art Therapy Centre.<\/p>\n
Al-Sindi also created and delivered short courses for the University College of London in Qatar (UCL Qatar) in 2015. She has been a TedX talk speaker on art therapy in 2014 titled \u2018The Unspoken Truth of Images in Art Therapy\u2019. Her other professional accomplishments include two art therapy workshops for adults and children in two refugee camps in Lebanon in 2019. In addition, she is also an instructor at the University of Bahrain, College of Humanities, for Fine Arts Bachelor students. She also held a solo exhibition of her artworks in 2016.<\/p>\n
Born and raised in The Kingdom of Bahrain, Dalal Al-Sindi offers an international approach to art therapy tempered with a local understanding and appreciation of Bahrain\u2019s culture and people. She encourages spontaneous expressions of art and specialises in the understanding of the artistic process and its psychological impact on people.<\/p>\n
She has a master\u2019s degree in art Psychotherapy from the University of Hertfordshire, UK; and bachelor\u2019s degree from the University of Loughborough in Fine Arts Painting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
