Rana Dajani is an accomplished scientist and academician with a Ph.D. in molecular
\ncell biology from the University of Iowa. She is also currently the Malakova Fellow at
\nthe Jepson School of Leadership and Ethics at the University of Richmond and also
\na Harvard Radcliff Fellow.
\nDajani is recognised as a world expert on genetics of Circassian and Chechan
\npopulations in Jordan. She has successfully established the Stem Cell Research
\nEthics law in Jordan.
\nAside from her academic pursuits, she organised the first Gender Summit for the
\nArab world in 2017. She is also considered one of the most influential female
\nscientists in the Islamic World – 12 among 100 most influential Arab women in 2015.
\nShe was also selected to the Women in Science Hall of Fame 2015, and 2016
\nGlobal Changemaker Award for celebrating 70 years of the Fulbright program.
\nShe is the founder of a community-based model, \u2018We Love Reading\u2019 to encourage
\nchildren to read for pleasure and has authored a book, \u2018Five Scarves: Doing the
\nImpossible – If We Can Reverse Cell Fate Why Can\u2019t We Redefine Success\u2019. Dajani
